Setting Up a Custom Domain

How custom domains work, the DNS records you need to add, and what to do if your domain isn't loading.

Run your platform on your own web address, for example innovation.yourcompany.com instead of yourplatform.untap.us. Custom domains are included in the Ultimate and Enterprise plans, and available as a paid add-on on other plans.

See your current address

  1. Click the Gear icon (top right) and choose Platform Settings.

  2. Open the Domain Settings tab.

Set up your own domain

We set up custom domains with you. Message us in chat to get started.

  1. Tell us the exact subdomain you want to use.

  2. We send you CNAME records: one for SSL certificate validation and one for routing.

  3. Your IT team adds these records at your DNS provider.

  4. Once DNS has updated (this can take up to 24–48 hours), we finish the setup and your platform loads on the new address.

Good to know: when your platform's address changes, share the new link with your participants and evaluators.

If your domain isn't loading yet

  • Check that the records were added for the same subdomain we issued them for.

  • Check that they were added as CNAME records, exactly as provided.

  • Give DNS time to update.

Still not working? Message us in chat. We'll check and, if needed, issue new records.

Custom program URLs

Each program also has its own address. You can edit it with the Program Slug field and the Enable custom program URL option on the program's Content tab.
