Single Line Text
A single line text field is mostly used to identify the name of the project, group or any other case that requires a single text entry.
It's important you include a Single Line Text in your form, and mark it as to include the submission title for the form to work
The Appearance tab enables you to enhance or modify how your form field is displayed to your applicants:
The Advanced tab includes extra features that enables you to customize your field further.
Advanced Tabs are mostly used to set a Conditional Logic to your field and render it only valid when certain conditions are met. This feature comes in handy when you're intending to have submissions for that field tailored for a specific need.
Checking the persistence box is recommended if the field will contain sensitive information.
Paragraph Text
Paragraph text helps applicants elaborate and add descriptive content
You can always set a maximum number of characters allowed in the Paragraph Text
Drop Down
Drop down allows users to make a selection from multiple options. It's especially useful when you want to drive a single selection from a limited set of options.
It's recommended you go through the "Bulk Add" options to either select from a predefined profiles or customize new ones to help you save time in the future.
Multi Select
Use Multi Select to drive multiple selections from a set of predefined options
Number
Use Number if you intend for the field to have a numerical value only.
Checkboxes
Checkbox is a more standardized form of multi selection and is more user friendly.
Radio Buttons
Radio buttons are the most common way of single selections from a set of options. If a button is currently selected, it will de-select when any other button is selected.
Content Block
You can use the HTML block to display content of your choice. Whether it's a written or Merge Tags populated content
Section Break
Section break is simply a line that separates elements of the form from each other.
Pagination
Adding page to the form breaks down the process into steps. Add this if you'd like your form to have one or more pages/steps
Upon selecting "Page", you'll notice three blocks got added to your form like this:
If you want to create more than 2 steps for the application, add another "Page" and an additional Page Break will be created in the form which you can allocate in the area you deem convenient.
Name
Date
URL
Use the URL field if the submission requires applicants to include an elaborate video from an external source.
Email field will ask users to put an appropriate email address and will give an error if the format is invalid.
File Upload
Users may upload as many files as they want with a maximum bandwidth of almost 200MB per file.
List
List is especially helpful when you want applicants to add several custom inputs in the submission.
Consent
Add the consent checkbox if you want to ensure that your applicants are aligned with a certain policy.
