Free Submission Codes for Paid Programs (Stripe Coupons)

Let selected applicants submit without paying by giving them a 100% discount code.

Charge a submission fee through your own Stripe account, and give selected applicants a code so they pay less, or nothing at all.

Turn on paid submissions

1. Connect Stripe

  1. Go to Gear icon → Platform Settings → Integrations.

  2. Open Payment Integration.

  3. Choose Live Mode, or Test Mode if you'd like to try it out first.

  4. Enter your Stripe secret key and choose your currency.

  5. Click Connect.

2. Turn it on for your round

  1. Open the program and select the round.

  2. Go to Settings → Submission Settings.

  3. Tick Enable paid submissions.

  4. Click Save Settings.

Tip: if Enable paid submissions is greyed out, Stripe isn't connected yet. Click Connect Stripe next to it.

Create a free or discount code

  1. Log in to your Stripe account.

  2. Go to Products → Coupons and create a coupon, for example 100% off.

  3. Create a Promotion code for that coupon, for example STUDENT2026.

  4. Share the code with your applicants.

Applicants enter the code at checkout and pay the discounted amount.

Good to know: in Stripe you can limit how many times a code can be used and set an expiry date.
