Reward learners who finish your course with a certificate of completion. You choose when it's issued, design how it looks, and can even issue a verifiable digital badge.
Turn on certificates
Open Courses.
Find your course and click Manage.
Open the Certificates tab and switch Enabled on.
Choose how certificates are issued
Automatic: issued once a participant completes the course (100%) and reaches the course passing percentage.
Manual: set a Minimum total course score. Participants qualify once their total score reaches it (0 means certificates are always issued).
You issue, revoke and track certificates from the Certificate column of the course's Participants tab.
Design the certificate
Template: choose a built-in template (Classic, Modern or Minimal), or Upload custom template.
Branding: background, font and accent colours; heading and body fonts (you can upload your own font); and your logo.
Details: issuer name, signature line, certificate ID prefix, signature image (a transparent PNG works best), stamp or seal, and an option to show the total course score.
The Preview updates as you go. Drag elements on the preview to position them.
Digital badges (Certifier)
To also issue a verifiable digital badge (Open Badges):
Go to Gear icon → Platform Settings → Integrations → Certifier.
Enter your Certifier API Key. You'll find it in your Certifier account under Settings → API keys.
On the course's Certificates tab, turn on Issue a digital badge via Certifier.
Untap sends Certifier the participant's name and email, the course title, issue date, certificate ID, course score and credential group.
Good to know: revoking a certificate in Untap doesn't revoke the Certifier credential. To revoke the badge too, do it in your Certifier account.
