Building Course Content

Organize your curriculum into structured learning paths by creating Units and detailed Lessons.

Turn your course into a clear learning path. This guide shows you how to organize units and lessons, and how to add videos, files, quizzes and assignments.

I. Create units and lessons

  • Units are the chapters of your course. Click + Add Unit (top right). Units appear as numbered tabs at the top of the course.

  • Lessons are the topics inside a unit. Open the unit and click + Add Lesson.

Each lesson has four tabs: About, Quiz, Assignment and Settings.

Good to know: participants only see lessons that have content. Add at least a video, file, text, quiz or assignment to each lesson so it appears.

II. Add lesson content (About)

  • Lesson Title: a clear name for the topic.

  • Lesson Videos: upload MP4, MOV or WebM files (you can add several), or click Add link to use a video link.

  • Learning Materials: click Add files to share downloads such as slides or PDFs.

  • + Add lesson information: add text with the rich text editor.

Then click Save Changes.

III. Build a quiz

Use the Quiz tab to create knowledge checks that are graded automatically.

A. Get started fast

Click AI Assistant (top right) to generate questions from a short description of the lesson and audience, or pick a ready-made quiz with Use template.

B. Add your questions

  • Designer: add Checkboxes, Ranking, Radio Button Group, Rating Scale, Dropdown or Yes/No questions.

  • Correct answers: set each question's correct answer so the quiz is graded automatically.

  • Logic and Translations: add conditional rules or other languages.

C. Quiz settings

  • Quiz title and intro text

  • Time limit (minutes)

  • Passing score

  • Chances: how many attempts participants get

  • Answers preview after submission: participants can review their mistakes and the correct answers before they try again

  • Quiz required to pass: participants must reach the passing score to complete the lesson

IV. Add an assignment

Use the Assignment tab for hands-on work:

  • The AI Assistant can draft the assignment prompt and instructions for you.

  • Add a File Upload question so participants can hand in their work. In its settings, choose Local file, Camera, or Local file or Camera.

Assignment results appear in the course's Participants tab (Assignment Avg).

V. Lesson settings

  • Estimated duration (minutes)

  • Start date & time (optional): the lesson stays locked for participants until then.

  • Course instructor(s) (optional)

Click Save Changes.

Tip: to reward learners who finish, turn on certificates in the course's Certificates tab.
