A Platform is the website your participants visit to find and apply to your programs. In this guide, you'll create one inside your Workspace.
What is a Platform?
A Platform lives inside a Workspace and hosts your Programs. It's a dedicated website where participants browse opportunities such as innovation challenges, hackathons or awards.
You can create several Platforms in one Workspace, each with its own focus, for example innovation, CSR or talent development.
Tips
Give each Platform a clear theme (for example CSR, Innovation or Marketing) so related programs sit together.
Use a Platform for ongoing or recurring activities, such as continuous idea collection or customer feedback.
Group programs by business area, project type or client, so each Platform speaks to one audience.
Create a Platform
On the left side of your dashboard, under Workspaces, click the Workspace where the new Platform should live.
Click New Platform.
Fill in the Platform details (listed below).
Save to create the Platform.
Platform details
Logo: your logo, shown on the public website.
Platform Title: a descriptive name. It's also the site title people see in their browser tab and in search engines.
Email: the main admin email. It receives all Platform notifications.
Default Language: the Platform's main language. You can add more languages later.
Timezone: the Platform's default timezone. Deadlines follow each round's own timezone, which you set in the round's Settings → General Settings → Timezone.
Platform URL: your Platform's web address, for example yourplatform.untap.us. You can change it yourself later in Gear icon → Platform Settings → Domain Settings. Links to the old address stop working, so reshare the new one. A fully custom domain of your own is included in the Ultimate and Enterprise plans: message us in chat to set it up.
Your new Platform appears as a card in the Workspace with two options:
Manage: open the admin dashboard to change settings, add programs and run your workflows.
Visit: see the Platform the way visitors and participants see it.
