Tracks let you run several categories inside one round, each with its own submission form, evaluation form and evaluators. Here's how to turn tracks on, create them and manage them.
I. Turn on and create tracks
A. Turn tracks on
Open your program and click the round's tab.
Click Settings, then Submission Settings.
Tick Enable submission tracks.
Optionally, tick Allow participants to change tracks.
Click Save Settings.
Go to the Submission Form tab.
B. Create a new track
In Select Track, you'll see your existing tracks. Each live track shows a Published badge.
Click + (Add Track) to create a new one.
Enter the Track Title and click Save.
Track examples
In an innovation challenge, participants choose the challenge their solution addresses.
In an awards program, nominations are submitted for each category separately.
II. Customize forms and evaluation
A. Clone a submission form
If a new track shares fields with an existing one, copy its form instead of starting from scratch:
In the Add New Track window, tick Clone fields from another form.
Choose the track to copy from.
Click Save.
B. Evaluate different tracks
One form: a single evaluation form for several tracks.
Separate forms: a different evaluation form per track. Each can have its own maximum score.
In the Evaluation Form tab, select the form in Select Track to create or edit it. You can clone an existing evaluation form if you only need small changes.
C. Assign evaluators by track
So each evaluator only gets their track's submissions:
In the Evaluators tab, select the evaluators.
Click Assign Submissions in the toolbar.
In the Assign Evaluators dialog, under Assign evaluators based on, choose Assign based on submission tracks.
Click Assign to evaluator/panel.
III. More options
Rename a track: select it in Select Track and click the Edit (pencil) icon. In the Edit Submission Track Form dialog, change the Track Title and click Save.
Publish or unpublish a track: select it, click the Edit (pencil) icon, switch the Publish toggle on or off and click Save. Turn it off to stop accepting submissions for that track. Unpublished tracks don't show in the participants' track list, but the track, its form and its submissions stay in place. Keep at least one track published so the program shows its Apply Now button.
Move participants between tracks: use Assign Track in the round's Participants tab.
Move an existing submission: turn on Allow participants to change tracks (Settings → Submission Settings) so the participant can switch it themselves, or export and re-import it. Evaluations don't move with a re-imported submission, so see Moving a Submission to Another Track first.
Delete a track (read this first)
Deleting a track deletes its form and all of its submissions, and they can't be restored. The confirmation reads: "Are you sure you want to delete this form? Once you confirm, the form cannot be restored and all related submissions will be lost."
If you just want to stop using a track, unpublish it instead (see above). It disappears from the participants' track list, and you keep everything.
If you're sure you want to delete it:
Select the track in Select Track and click the Edit (pencil) icon.
In the Edit Submission Track Form dialog, click Delete.
Read the warning, then click CONFIRM DELETION, or Cancel to keep the track.
Tip: export the track's submissions first (Submissions tab → filter by Tracks → Export) so you keep a copy.
