Initial filtration helps you screen submissions before evaluators see them, so your judges only spend time on the strongest entries. You can do it in two ways: with quiz questions in your form (no extra setup) or with AI Screening (connect your AI provider first).
I. Set up quiz questions
Add quiz-style questions straight into your submission form.
Open the round's Submission Form tab.
Choose the track in Select Track.
Add a multiple-choice question, for example a Radio Button Group.
Select the question and open the Data tab in the right-hand panel.
Set the correct answer. Each correct answer is worth 1 point.
The form builder saves your changes automatically.
II. Use quiz scores to filter
Each submission's quiz score appears in the round's Submissions tab.
Use the scores to decide which submissions to qualify or disqualify before you assign evaluators. Select the submissions, then click the Qualify icon (or ⋯ More options → Qualify). Disqualify is in ⋯ More options.
To qualify submissions automatically, see Qualification Settings in Configuring Submission and Evaluation Rounds Settings.
III. AI Screening
AI Screening scores each submission on criteria such as Clarity, Relevance, Creativity and Ethics (plus a custom criterion of your own) and compares the result with a threshold you set. You set it up in the round's Settings → AI Screening Settings. For the full steps, see Screening Submissions with AI.
What's next?
Once your first filter is in place, you can move on to Reviewing Round Scores and Evaluations.
