Registration and Profile Fields (Custom Fields, CV Parsing)

Choose what people fill in when they sign up, require complete profiles, reuse form answers, and parse CVs with AI.

Choose exactly what people tell you when they sign up and in their profile. In this guide, you'll set your profile preferences, turn on CV parsing and add your own fields.

To get started, click the gear icon, then Users, and open the Custom Fields tab. Custom Fields apply to participants, hosts and evaluators.

Profile & registration preferences

  • Force participants to complete their profile: people fill in all required profile fields before they can use the platform.

  • Fill empty profile fields using submitted form answers: when someone submits an application, their answers to linked form questions update their profile. You link the questions to profile fields in the round's submission form builder.

  • Complete profile notice: shows a banner reminding people to finish their profile.

  • Show new users in community and Allow participants community visibility control: choose who appears in the community listing.

  • Default community list sorting: choose how the community list is ordered.

  • Make profile image required.

CV parsing

  • Use AI-powered CV parsing: reads CVs in any layout and answers screening questions from the CV content. First connect your AI provider in Platform Settings → Integrations → AI Integration. See Connecting Your AI Provider (AI Integration).

  • Show CV field on signup: asks for a CV on the signup form. When it's off, participants can still upload a CV in their profile.

  2. Choose the Field Type, for example single-line text, paragraph, number, URL, country, phone number, file upload or a repeating list.

  3. Choose the User Type: Participant, Host or Evaluator.

  4. Choose where the field is used: Required, Signup Field, Submissions Field, Community Field, Use as a community filter and Show answer on profile card.
